Biography

Sarah Ripper earned her MFA in Directing at California State University, Fullerton, a MA in Educational Theatre from NYU, and received a BFA in Musical Theatre with a dance and acting emphasis from Sam Houston State University.

 

She has performed all over Asia in Broadway Asia's production of Cinderella, starring Tony Award Winner, Lea Salonga. After appearing in the Off-Broadway show, Looking for Billy Haines, she became a proud member of Actors Equity Association. Sarah has taught students of all ages around NYC and the tri-state area. After moving to California, she taught at Orange County School of the Arts as a Musical Theatre Acting instructor. She assisted Jessica Kubzansky's direction of Hold These Truths at Pasadena Playhouse, and Mark Ramont's direction of The Glass Menagerie at Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C. 

 

Sarah recently served as the Associate Artistic Director of The Wayward Artist, an emerging theatre company in Orange County, CA. She directed God of Carnage and co-directed and choreographed Godspell, the Wayward Artist's inaugural production.

She currently teaches acting, directing, and musical theatre at Fullerton College and California State University Fullerton.
